She had left her mate and pups behind with him. The ebony female needed her space, the family life was overwhelming at times. It was amazing how things could change so quickly, just a few years ago she felt lonely, like she just could not stand to be alone. Now, she relishes her alone time. Life was a mystery. Letting loose a sigh she managed to come across a Forest. She had been walking now for hours, she had snuck out of the cave undetected. The long walk had brought her here..to the Shadow Forest.
Even though she was now a mother of four, she was still young and a little naive at times. Taking a step into the forest she was unaware of the risk she was taking. This forest had a high probability of her getting lost, but she was unafraid...or more like ignorant. Her ears laid forward, but in a manner that suggested that she was being lazy. Zoning out as she walked, it was apparent that she was tired and unfocused. Her mind elsewhere...it would have been most likely in space. She was finding out quickly that being a mother was not easy, even though she was really good.
She knew that when she returned home that her mate was going to be severly upset with her, like he was already. The incident was still on her mind. The day a fox attempted to eat one of her babies. He was mad at her for chasing after it and killing it. However, she could not just let that fox go, she had to kill it. She let out another sigh as she was feeling bad now for sneaking out. Her eyes looked back behind her. She was going to head back home but as she was deep in thought, she managed to get rather deep into the woodland.
Turning around all she saw was darkness, "What?" she said to herself realizing she could not see a foot in front of her. Great, I got lost, she thought. Looking around she stayed still, she did not know what to do now. Since she could not figure out what to do, she thought the next best thing would be to wait till daylight. Taking a seat she executed the thought by staying in one place. Now that her nerves had her griped she realized just how tired she was. A large yawn emitted from her muzzle.
