It was very nice and sunny in the lands where the Skylit Meadow layed as only a couple of puffy clouds came along once in a while as they would cast temporary shadows onto the ground though they soon drifted away to let the sun rays lay upon the snow-covered lands as it slightly melted the frosty ground. However the snow would soon enough be placed back again as the meadow would be yet again a winter wonderland.
Thouh something was quite unusual on the ground, and yet it was something that anyone would see on a daily basis. It was a shadow, but this shadow had nothing around or even above the shadow to cast it. This was of course strange to anyone who saw it, and more oddly it had began to move on its own like it was a living thing itself, but of course that is what it was.
The shadow soon enough had turned into a form that looked like an outline of a wolf with its body completely black with the only visible things were its sharp eyes as it kept on advancing towards the small unfrozen stream as the snow and ice that was melted by the sun had joined up with it and continued on down its journey. Then the shadowy image had began to fill in colours onto the body making anyone realising that this was a beautiful female with the most peculiar patterns and colourings on her body. She was a little bit bored with herself as nobody was really around an began sipping the refeshing ice-cold water and began to look around to see if there was anyone to talk to or even maybe play with.

As the she-wolf stepped into the river, nothing moved. Not like there wasn't anything moving, but what could be called the physical manifestation of nothing moved. That same nothing moved again, this time a bit closer to the river, and into some tall weeds and cattails. The vegetation seemed to part away from something, and yet nothing was visible. shadow hadn't been following her for long, no more than a day, but he already new several things about her. She wasn't easy to track either, her annoying habit of traveling as a shadow had really made this more trouble than it was worth. Another thing he knew about her was that she bored easily, and he decided to see if he could fix her boredom for a while.
He ducked down into the weeds and shifted, becoming visible, though still hard to see through the dense underbrush. He focused on an area out of her view, and projected an image into that spot. The air shimmered and wavered, then solidified into the shape of a large wolf. The pseudo-wolf had bright green fur and pale blue eyes. He was bigger than most wolves, and his claws gleamed in the sunlight. The image trotted into view, then stopped, as if startled by her presence. being insubstantial, the wolf could not speak, but it could communicate with body signs and stance. The main part of this working were for her to quickly grasp that the wolf was a mute and could not converse normally. Shadow had to stifle a chuckle, and almost gave himself away. He managed to not make a sound though, and he went back to work maintaining the illusion.

After a moment of looking around the area and seeing that nobody was around the area, Midna sighed as he ears drooped down as she looked down a bit in a depressed matter as she went down to take some more sips of the cold water again. Why is it when I wanna have fun there is no one around to play with? Another sigh escaped from her maw as she tried to think of something to do on her own.
Then she suddenly tilted her hed a little bit and saw another wolf near her which made a look of surprise as it was like it never saw her there, she made that same reaction when she saw the large wolf by her which made her jump a little bit as she brought her body around so there was no way of the other wolf biting her and gave a small defensive body posture as she was a little bit nervous as well curious about how the male got here without even making a sound for her to hear.
Who is this guy? He's not like anyone I've seen before, then again theirs a lot of other wolves that I haven't seen or heard of before. She was talking to herself as her mind kept on switching back and forth a bit as she tried to think of what to do next. Well, I guess its good to talk things out verbally... She thought as she began to talk to this illusion infront of her. Umm, hi? Was all she really said as she was being careful around this large wolf that was almost right in her face.

Shadow smirked, she was hooked. All he needed to do was sell the mute part and this could go on for a long while. He focused again, and the fake wolf's features took on one of mild helplessness, the kind of face that says I'd love to do something, but I can't. The images fur rippled in an oncoming breeze, as did Shadow's. Then, disaster struck. Shadow got an itch. It was in that one spot you couldn't reach without a lot of effort and loud motions. He gritted his teeth and endured, counting backwards from a hundred. The image perked up its ears, as if waiting its next command, and after a minute Shadow gave it to him. The image smiled a heartwarming smile that absolutely screamed harmless. The itch returned, and he counted from a hundred again. The itch didn't fade, however, and Shadow writhed on the ground trying to get to that spot. His carefully produced image flickered, then faded.

When Midna began to see all of these wolf's kindly gestures and friendly looks she had began to calm down as she straightened up and made more of a friendlier look herself as she made her tail sway a little bit as she looked up at the large wolf and the kind smiles that he kept on making to her.Hey, maybe I do get to have some fun with someone else today! Though that vision began to disappear when she saw that this wolf was no more then a light-reflected picture to fool her.
A trick?, this an all for nothing trick!? Why I otta... That then when she began to hear the scuffing behind some tall grass and narrowed her eyes at it. You wanna play huh there tough guy? Then let's play! At that moment she began to turn into her mysterious Shadow form as the flat black object just crept through the grass until she saw a male wolf trying to scratch himself and just rolled her eyes before answering out to him, What on Earth were you trying to do with me? She asked him as her shadow was cloaked by the shadows that the long grass had made as she wanted an answer from this guy immediately.

Shadow jumped. A voice had come from nowhere, and it shocked him. He quickly regained his composure and sat up. He didn't even bother looking for her, it would make him seem even more shocked. "Sheesh, can't take a joke?" He said in a cool and offhand manner. Yes, as a matter of fact he was trying to annoy her, but she was complaining about being bored, and what better fun than an argument? He started grooming his ruffled fur, swiping away dirt and flattening his coat with his tongue. His mind started working out different outcomes for the upcoming conversation, and several didn't look so good. A small cloud drifted past, and other than that and the soft rippling of the weeds, everything stood still. Shadow blinked. That was the majority of his visible movement. His mind was a frenzy though, as it prepared him for an attack from any direction, even up.

Midna just began to softly let out an annoyed growl as she rolled her eyes after what the male had just said about her not taking a joke, she really enjoyed jokes truth be told as she liked to pull some on other wolves that she knew well. She however didn't like it when other wolves that she didn't know of go ahead and play rotten tricks on her just for their own fun or even something else.
Though this male didn't look too bad from what she thought, and he obviously wasn't part of the Hunter Pack as he had powers himself as he was able to pull that prank on her making her slightly comfortable around him. Only slightly. She began to form her body back from her shadow as she began to walk towards the male as she kept a stern yet calmed look to her.
"Not the joke you made there. Though I guess I can forgive you for that." She told him as she sat down with her long orange tail laying beside her right leg, it looked like she didn't really had a care at all really as she had a small grin on her maw. "Well?" She asked the male as she sat the as she examined the details of the male a bit more if he ever decided to take off from her. "Are you going to tell me your name? Or are you so secretive that you would hide your name from me?" She let out a giggle after she had said that as she waited for him to talk.

Shadow heard her step up to his side, and turned to face her. Feeling a bit of creativity left in him, he decided to try something else. He lowered himself into a position that is generally accepted as one of sorrow, and said with a hint of sadness, and an even smaller one of sarcasm; "Oh, thank you for freeing me of the guilt that has wrought my soul since I played that evil trick on you" It was good, and it was going to get even better. A smile flickered across his maw, then, with not even a blink, he vanished. At the same time, he got up, placing as little pressure as possible to avoid flattening the weeds. It was a classic trick, and always one of the best. He backed up to avoid accidentally touching her, and watched to see how she would react to this new development.

Midna wasn't very surprised at all, she didn't care if the male had that look on his face and then suddenly vanished, instead she began to laugh at him. The trick was actually on him as a part of her tail had actually turned to shadow and had been attached as a shadow of the other wolf, so no matter how invisible he my seem to be she can watch him with ease.
Well, looks like I'm getting my scoop of fun today. She told herself as her whole body began going black with only her eyes visible until she transformed into shadow and attached herself to the to the rest of the wolf as she fixed up her formation to looks just like the male's body. "Well, it looks like you failed to get rid of me!, oh well. Eh he he he!" She said as she giggled at the wolf though his body was invisible to the eye though she knew exactly where he was. And she was going to hve some fun with it.

Shadow watched the hyper wolf take his form, and decided to see how long this could go. "True, but would you really want to be near me?" He asked. Feeling his creativity move in, he decided to see how much it would take to put her off guard. Focusing on her, he turned her purple. Of course she wasn't really purple, but it would be hard to figure out that she actually wasn't. He didn't even change back to visible, as it didn't take much effort to do such a fun little trick. It wasn't enough though, and her giggling was fairly annoying, so he turned the weeds an alternating pattern of neon blue and hot pink. He blotted out the sky with a massive wall of green, and even the ground, now a deep shade of orange, wasn't spared from the artist inside of him. He still didn't return to the visible world, but instead waited to see her reaction. Besides, he wasn't done yet.

Midna just examined the area as the colours of almost everything were changing to what they would not normally be, even her shadow form colour had changed to a purply colour. Of course she didn't mind at all as she knew that this male would bring her original colour back, it was either that or he would have his throat ripped out.
A small giggle echoed through the female's muzzle as she had her mouth shut as she made the shadow of what was suppose to be the male's move around to see everything before looking straight at him again. "My, my. You're a creative one now aren't you?" She said almost in a questioning way though it really wasn't suppose to be as she brought her gaze at the tall grass with the shadows being casted, she began to focus her power as the shadows suddenly became even more tall grass though it was like there wasn't enough of it already.

The she-wolf was unaffected by his random trickery, and Shadow began contemplating defeat. He wouldn't give up though, after all, those tricks were still up his proverbial sleeve. "I have been called that a few times." He said in an offhand tone. She began growing grass ,which was fairly unnatural. Shadow had been trailing her for almost a day, and he knew most of her tricks. It still caught him off balance. After all, how would you react to grass magically growing beneath you? Alas, all good things must come to an end, which this one did. Midnight realized that, whether it was true or not, the she-wolf would not appear surprised. That took a lot of fun out of his day, and he started to fix everything. Slowly. He started with the sky, as it was starting to irritate him. He fixed the ground, and then the weeds, and all of the little things he had done. He didn't fix her color however. Finally, he returned to the visible spectrum of light. A faint hint of defeat lingered on his face. Either she just wasn't surprised, or she was good at hiding her emotions.

Midna had really been enjoying herself as she had been playing along with this male wolf and had been enjoying what he was doing as she would just look at all the colors that had changed in the surroundings around her. She had began to giggle very softly that the new colors of the world and just thought it would be funny if it were to stay like this for the rest of her life. But then her joyousness began growing into disappointment as the colors began to disappear as she saw the colors vanish away from her site as they began to go normal again which made the shadow of the male's ears droop to the sides.
She then began to turn into a three-dimensional figure as her patterns and coloring began to fill in the black body sowing yet again the lovely female besides parts of her colorings being purple in some parts. She still had her ears drooped down with look of disappointment on her face. "Aww, what's wrong? You don't want to play anymore?" She asked him as she still had part of her front right paw stuck to the males as she was making sure he wouldn't run off on her. She didn't want him going anywhere.

"Yep, I just can't seem to surprise you." He said, sighing. "It was fun while it lasted though....you can let go of me, I wasn't planning on going anywhere." He smiled wanly, "I doubt I could get away from you if I wanted too." It was the truth too, if she could simply fuse with his shadow, it would be hard to shake her off. He looked around a bit, and couldn't find anything very interesting in his immediate surrounding. "Honest opinion, how was the color thing?" He asked. It had been useful for confusing dozens of others, and every now and then he liked to get some feedback. A cloud passed over the sun, and he absently turned it pink. He was still going of the excitement, and he had a lot of pent up energy to burn. The sight of the pink cloud sent his mind into overdrive, and soon the sky was filled with alternation patches of pink, yellow, purple, and black.

Midna let out her casual giggle when the male asked for her opinion on his power and just watched as he was turning the clouds into different colors as she could tell that he must have had a very imaginative mind. "Eh hehehe! I must admit you are very creative indeed with colors and I've always wanted to see what the world would be like if it was in different colors." She confessed as she watched the variety of colors that were made in the sky, then she turned her face over to the male with a smile appearing on her maw.
"Looks like I owe you there for that." She said as she started to take the shadows that were fused to the male off as she began observing the shadows all around them, one of them was a cloud as it was flying closer to them both. She just narrowed her eyes a bit as the shadow began to take a form which was perfectly identical to the other pink cloud beside it as they drifted onwards, she then narrowed her eyes at a tree's shadow next as it grew up to another tree that was perfectly identical to the one beside it.
Then her gazed went over to the other wolf again as a grin came onto her face as she looked at his shadow and narrowed her eyes at it and began to make it and exact double of the male. When it was done she let out a giggle and looked at the real wolf again with her toothy grin. "So, what is your opinion on my work huh?" She asked as her tail wagged a little bit as she was showing that she was having some fun with him.
