Shadow wandered through the forest, not really looking for anything. He weaved between trees and followed twisting paths until he noticed something, he was lost. Shadow didn't panic, he was in the woods after all, there was plenty of prey and shelter, so he could stay here for a while. He could smell a rabbit up ahead Speaking of prey Shadow thought, I can smell some pretty close. He shifted his fur color to match the winter scenery, and crept up on the rabbit, pouncing on the defenseless creature. He devoured the rabbit, and continued to search for familiar territory. Shadow eventually grew tired, and started to search for a hollow he could sleep in. As he searched for a den, Shadow heard something in the distance, though he couldn't figure out what it was. He couldn't find anywhere sheltered, so he curled up next to some exposed roots and tried to sleep, though there was still a noise on the edge of his senses.

Arya
Small, soft pads touched the cold ground, leaving behind paw prints of a wolf. Her silver fur roamed in the winds and she picked up the speed gracefully jogging through the forest. Her sapphire blue eyes glowing happily. Her tail streaming behind her. The blue swirls on her flanks seemed to be moving along with her body as if they were alive. Arya blinked and stopped, suddenly catching a scent of another wolf. Looking around warily, she slowly moved along following the scent. Her eyes watching, her ears up and slert for any danger.
Moments later she scent was as strong as can be. Her eyes caught sight of a lonely wolf just ahead. Arya stopped and waited, wondering. Hmm...never seen him around these parts she thought and sighed. The question was, as shy as she is, should she go and talk to him or just walk by acting like she never noticed him?

The scent of a wolf flooded over Shadow as he lay by the tree. He opened his eyes and noticed a silvery wolf standing a little bit away. She had a curious look in her eyes, and blue markings on her fur. As if she didn't know if she would talk to him or not. Shadow stood up and started to walk towards her. "Hi," He said "did you want something?" Shadow sat down and tried to look friendly as he waited for a response. "Oh, by the way, my name is Shadow" He noticed that her eyes were a sapphire color, and Shadow thought that he could see her thoughts in their depths. As he sat there, Shadow's mind wandered a bit and he wondered what her power was. She didn't appear threatening, though the best fighters usually don't. shadow guessed that her power was something to do with water, even though air was possible too.

ARYA
She tilted her head to the side when she realized that the other wolf had just noticed her. She backed away a little, giving him some space. She hardly knew him and thought he might have wanted to pick a fight, until he parted his muzzle and said something. Her ears pricked curiously hearing his name. Thinking for a moment she looked down at her paws sheepishly. Arya thought for a moment. She just met him moments ago, should she give away her name? What if he wasn't as friendly as he seemed? What if he secretly planned to kill her, what if he was part of Hunterpack!? Arya looked up, trying to hide her emotions. "I'm...Arya." she finally gave in. Arya blinked and avoided his gaze. Her silver fur ruffling in the wind. She wasn't sure if she had ruined her identity to this wolf. He could have been part of Hunterpack, tricking her. If that was the case, she had to get away as fast as she could. Every hair on her pelt rose in anxiety and a bit of anger.

"Hi Arya, do you know where we are, because I'm kind of lost" Shadow said to her in a friendly tone. While sitting there he noticed that she was avoiding his gaze. I hope she isn't lost, I'm tired of wandering around. Shadow thought. "You don't have to worry, I'm not going to attack you or anything, I just want somewhere out of the weather for the night or a way out of these woods." he told her. Waiting for a response, Shadow started to sniff around, searching for some prey. Finding nothing he sat back down by the tree and tried to think of a way out of the area.If it wasn't for Hunterpack, Shadow thought, I wouldn't even be in this mess! He could pick up the faint smell of rabbit, but figured that it was too far to catch right now. Sighing, Shadow curled up again and waited for Arya's answer.

ARYA [why is always a question]
The silver fae finally looked back up at him as he spoke once again, catching her attention. She watched curiously as he moved, and when he stopped she thought about her answer. Where we are? Arya looked around at her surroundings. She knew where she was, it was just that she couldn't explain it. The fae parted her jaws and answered. "Yes, I do know where we are. Its just hard to explain, I just happen to know this forest." She was careful on the words she had chosen, for she still didn't fully trust this wolf yet. Stubborn? Yes, she was. As a matter of fact in the past she had trusted too many and too many had turned their back on her, so now she was as stubborn as ever and made sure she knew what was going on before jumping to conclusions.

"That's good, can you get me out of the forest, or at least to a cave or something I can sleep in?" Shadow asked. He could see caution in her eyes, and figured that she must not trust him yet. That will probably just make this more difficult, but it shouldn't be a problem Shadow thought. He got up and started to pace, eager to leave this forest and get to sleep. He picked up the rabbit scent again, and he went towards it. The scent was getting stronger, and he shifted to match the forest again as he stalked his prey. Shadow came across the poor animal and lunged, snatching it's body and snapping its spine. He picked up his kill and brought it back. "Are you hungry? The forest isn't very lively right now." Shadow pushed the rabbit towards her, waiting for her to answer.

Status: Finished Word Count: 289 ||.I bend and break.|| Obviously, this was no wolf, but a creature in myths and legends. But along those generations, many believed that they have passed away. But how wrong would that have been? No, in the bloodlines of very few wolves were those who were known in the past as wolf-birds. There were only two in the whole generation of wolves who were one of them right now. Also, one of those two was Winter.
Winter was a beautiful white wolf, young, but strong. She had moonlight fur, gleaming green eyes and tiny paws. With large wings, to support her tiny weight she was also strong enough to lift up something, or someone. She had tiny ears, a long fur between the ears, covering her right eye. Her chest was also fluffy, looking more like a dream charter than a real living creature. Many thought that she was pulling tricks on minds. Which she was not.
The bird-wolf flew over head, finding two others. Both loners and normal wolves with powers talking. Smiling to herself she flapped her wings to a sudden stop. Landing next to the male she then folded her wings to her sides. Looking at them, eye to eye she then whispered in her beautiful velvet voice, "Hello loners. I am Winter." Obviously she had nothing to fear. She never knew about any others. Always traveling alone she was cheerful, greeting many and many knew her.
She looked at the other female wolf, nodding her head respectfully she then quickly jerked her head. Out of no where, a small rock, about the size so she could sit on rose up. She walked towards it, delicate paws silent. She jumped, landing on it. Grooming her fur she then looked at them, eyes lethal.

ARYA Arya slowly tilted her head to the side as he spoke once again. Her sapphire eyes now concentrated on the brute in front of her, her ears pricked and alert for any danger close by. "I have a den around here...if you want to stay that is." she answered, growing less and less shy. Maybe he wasn't a Hunterpack wolf at all? Should I trust him? she thought and jumped back in surprise as a wolf landed next to Shadow. She seemed graceful and happy. The fae was larger then she was and her white coat stood out easily. She watched her curiously listening as she gave them her name.
Thinking first, Arya dipped her head to the fae in welcoming. She knew for a fact that this wolf wasn't part of the pack and easily noticed that she had powers. "I'm Arya." she told Winter. Slowly, the silver fae sat down and watched the two. From Shadow to Winter and back again. Arya backed up a little as Winter padded toward a rock to sit on and groom her ruffled fur. Arya sat down again, but when she looked at Shadow her eyes widened. "Don't move." she simply advised. A slithering snake was beginning to sneak up on the brute. By its colored and markings she right away knew that it was venomous. Arya stared at the snake intensely, it began to grow cold. The scales on its body began to break apart as the snake slowly froze to a stop. She had frozen it to death. "There." The silver fae looked at her paws sheepishly. She wasn't sure if that was considered showing off, but she wasn't she just did what she thought had to be done.

Shadow listened to Arya's response and was startled by the arrival of a flying wolf. "Hi, I'm Shadow, and that would be nice, if you have the room." Shadow responded to the two wolves. As he sat there, Shadow heard Arya's warning and looked down at what she was staring at. He saw the snake and watched as it slowly froze over. He hadn't recognized the snake, though he figured it was venomous."That's a useful skill" Shadow told her. I would hate to have to fight her, Shadow thought, that looked incredibly painful He studied the new arrival and noticed that she had almost a surreal look to her, the green eyes gleaming in her long white fur. Shadow got up and stretched, waiting to leave. "Should we go now before the weather gets bad or should we hunt first?" He asked them. Shadow could feel a chill creeping into the air and figured that a storm was on its way.
