Sahara was becoming more relaxed about her mate's closeness to the pups, letting him play with them and allowing them to crawl all over him. Now their eyes were opening and they were beginning to explore the inside of the den and sometimes trying to be brave and go to the outside. This Sahara was not allowing, not just yet, in a few more weeks she would, by then they would be six weeks in age. The pups were beginning to show their personalities, some more dominant than others, and others more submissive.
Today Sahara was watching as the four fur balls romp and play, soon she would be leaving them to go get food. This was the one thing that scared her, she hated leaving them. There were many predators out there;other wolves, cougars, pumas, and weasals and badgers. Beginning to stand they all decided it was time to eat, but it was starting to become painful as teeth were surfacing in their tiny little mouths.
"Kids, kids, you already ate an hour ago...that is enough until noon.." She said as she tried to leap around them avoiding their latching jaws upon her teats. Moving and walking around them she started to come to the entrance of the den. "Now you four need to stay here...I will be back later to feed."

Grifan had been standing outside of the cave and keeping guard of the cave while Sahara was inside and taking care of the pups, he was making sure that no animals would get inside to harm their pups and would stay outside even if it was cold outside, just as long as they felt safe and secure in their warm home.
It wasn't too long until he heard Sahara talking to the pups about something though he couldn't exactly hear it as he was outside and the wind was blowing in his ears which had began to annoy him quite a bit after a while and went inside to see if everything was alright in the den. When he got down he saw that Sahara was coming to the entrance of the den. "Going hunting?" He asked her in a simple-toned matter to his mate, it was a little obvious as she wouldn't leave her pups for some reasons and food was probably the best answer.

Sahara greeted her mate with a loving headbutt then a nuzzle from cheek to cheek. "Going hunting?" Her mate had asked she licked his ear lightly then smiles at him before she let her answer. Since being a mother, her voice had become soft and sweet,"Yes, I am..." She said just as one of the pups began to jump past her, they all boisterously began to greet their father. The winged female was the most rambunctious about it jumping up instinctively trying to use her wings as she went into the air. Sahara snickers at this, she already saw it that she was going to be a 'daddy's girl' as they say it.
Looking back to the entrance Sahara put her ears back to guard against the winds, "I won't be long, love." Leaving the den behind she sets out on her hunt, she hoped that maybe she would be able to catch something large enough to feed Grifan as well. If he was not hungry at least it would last them a day or so. Moving along a scent came to her, it was a familiar scent. Soon she got the trail, and at that second she realized it was boar. Lifting her head she debated on hunting it, only because boar were rather dangerous. One wrong move could cost her.
She was hungry, lowering her head she decided to risk it. Boars were a good size, enough meat to last a few days tops. It was filling and it would provide the fat she needed for her pup's milk. Following the trail she slowed as the scent was the only thing in her nose. Walking as still and as quiet as possible she ducked down in the long blades of grass. The boar was five feet or so away, the bad part was he was starting to catch her scent with that large snout of his. Flattening her ears back her eyes focused with a dangerous look in her eye. Now was the time to strike, she let him have it.
With focused energy Sahara let loose a beam of lightening from her body that crashed down on this boar just as he came charging for her. Luckily, she was quick about it, a second longer and that boar may have crashed into her with his large tusks. He fell to the ground with a sickening thud. Now was the daunting task of bringing this large male home. Biting down on the snout she began to drag it home, the full length of one mile.
She had stopped at the spring to have a drink of water before she continued her journey back home. By now, she had only a matter of yards to go. Lapping up her drink she lifted her head lashing her pink tongue out to lick her muzzle. Collecting whatever water was left upon her maw she then went back to the boar. Arriving back at the den, she had been gone from late morning to early afternoon. Several hours, really. The mother wolf was tired and decided to sit outside for a few before and eat her delicious catch before going in and feeding the youngsters.

Tempest looked around for his mother. Where was she? He let out a whine and trotted around the den looking for her. She'd left as he had pounced on his sister and so had not seen her walk out into the Great Light. He whimpered again, but was soon distracted as he was plowed into by the sister he'd tackled.
The little pup's worries disolved into an attempt at a clumsy play-fight between him and the other wolf pup. Neither of them was strong enough or coordinated enough to really be playing, but it was great fun.
Tempest was really starting to look like his father, though the resemblence was totally lost on him. He had only just got his sight and oh, what a wonderful thing that was. He hadn't ever been out of the den either, though he was tempted to make another mad dash for the exit.
He soon grew tired of the play and turned his attention to the Great Light. He crept towards it when he thought his father wasn't looking. He wasn't yet very skilled at much of anything yet, so silence was pretty much impossible. He hoped his dad would be distracted enough by his siblings.
Once he got close enough to the Great Light, he tried to sprint towards it. His eyes were starting to adjust and he could see green of the Outside World. His tail wagged his whole rump as he ran, excited as ever.

Grifan just moved himself to the side as he allowed Sahara to got through the tunnel to the outside world and just went up to his four little pups, though it was more like they came over to him. They began to jump around him as they tried to give him a lick on the cheek with the winged pup trying to fly in the air with her wings. He smirked when he saw that and gave her a soft lick as he sat down and watched all of them play with one another. Or tried to at least.
Though something wasn't too right with the picture he was seeing, was there only three pups in his view right now? He began to search the den incase if the fourth one was hiding in one of his blind spots, though after a few seconds of quick looking showed that Tempest was deffinately wasn't in the cave. With a quick turn he began to go up the tunnel that let up to the outside world, and there he saw the young wolf pup trying to make a run for it. He wasn't going to allow that.
Just before Tempest would be able to get to the entrance, Grifan opened up his large, snow-white wings which would block him from going outside of the den. "Not yet Tempest, you just have to wait for a little while." He said as he carefully went to pick up the pup and bring him back into the cave.

Getting full she goes to go into the den, a good amount of the boar was left, more than enough for her mate to have. Walking in she came just in time to see Grifan set the young one down. "Tempest...always the curious one.." She smiles as Audra came closer in smelling her mother's mouth taking note of food. That then prompted her to go to her mothers underbelly, then the stampede of puppies that soon would follow. She was forced to lay down so they all may feed upon her.
Looking up from the pups she smiles to Grifan, "There is plenty left over for you, my dear." She smiles softly near the end as she lays her head on the side as she takes a small nap while they feed. This was the one way she let them feed, by sleeping letting them do their thing. However, this time it was becoming difficult to sleep, she could feel it their puppy teeth were coming in. A small wince came from her but she tolerated it. Within a few more weeks she would bring a few kills in to them in a way to transition their type of food.

Tempest was almost there! He could see the green getting bigger and bigger. The whole Outside World must be green! But no... There were other colors Tempest had no name for as well. The sky a beautiful, clear blue, and the flowers.
Tempest heard a pattering behind him, Grifan coming to get him. He pushed himself as fast as his fat little puppy legs could carry him, but he didn't come close to beingg faster than his dad. The larger wolf leapt in front of him and flared his wings.
The light, the green, the blue, and all the rest of the beauty of the outside disappeared in an instant. Tempest was so startled that he both stopped running, and didn't stop himself. He tumbled forwards into his father's ankles.
He let out a little whimper, but that was mostly just noise. He wasn't hurt or particularly offended. His puppy mind was too distractable to be anything but curious non-stop. He had known he would be caught, though as his father gently grabbed him up by the scruff of his neck, Tempest managed to get a look at the Outside World.
He could see his mother out there eating something big. He whimpered, wanting to get to her, but Grifan carried him back into the den. The instant his paws touched the ground, he was toddling around again. He plowed into one of his siblings just as his mother spoke. His ears perked up as much as they could. They were still rather floppy at this young of age.
Forgetting whatever had caused him to run into his sibling, he instead raced towards Sahara. He wanted her and he wanted to feed. The instant he reached her he started jumping up, wanting to eat and not caring that she hadn't laid down yet.
After everyone got settled, he could really suckle. He pulled at his mother hungrily, swallowing the warm milk with much delight. Once he'd had his fill, the sleepy stupor came over him and he curled up and slept right where he'd eaten, against his mother's warm stomach.

He always knew that out of all four of the pups that Tempest would probably the most curios of them all, he didn't know why exactly he would think that. Though he knew that it was probably his fault for being so curios. He himself as a pup would always want to go out and look at things and investigate places he wasn't allowed to go to at his young age.
He looked back up at Sahara when she called out to him saying that there was food for him and nodded. He didn't exactly see her when she was getting Tempest to come back into the den, he was much more focused on his pup's protection than looking outside. He went outside of the den seeing that Sahara was going to take a nap while the pups ate and went out to the surface.
There, like Sahara said were the remains of what seemed to be a boar. That made Grifan's spine stiffen. Boars were of course very dangerous creatures and one bash from them can sometimes cost anyone really. He then sat down and began to eat the remains of the dead animal and watched over if there was anything dangerous that he would take a precaution for.

A week passed and Audra was growing large she was five weeks and so were the other three, between her and her brother seemed to stand out the most. This was because they were more of an in your face type, with being either curious or dominant. That was Audra, dominant. She made sure she was heard by her siblings and her demands were met. A born leader, she was and that was how it was.
Sahara was having trouble keeping up with them two, keeping Audra from beating up on her siblings too much. Then trying to keep Tempest from wondering too far off. His curiosity worried her, one day it would take him into danger, she hoped it wouldn't. Laying down she was resting after a long morning of wrestling with the pups to keep them in line. But soon she would be getting something to eat and the pups would have their first taste of meat. She could not stand their sharp teeth on her tits anymore, they were tearing her up, leaving sharp punctures on them.
Looking to her mate she smiles, it was his turn to hunt. The boar had lasted them three days and they had not had food for a few of those days. So now it was time to hunt again. "Would you be able to hunt down prey for us..and maybe a rabbit or something of similar size for their first kill?" She asks him as she lays on her side, not for them to eat, but because it was comfortable.

OOC: Sorry it's not too good. :/
Tempest's curious behavior toned down a little in the week that passed, but only a little. He was still by far the most outgoing of the four, even with Audra bullying him and his siblings. He tended to intervene whenever she started messing with them, already showing a bit of the protective behavior he was beginning to develop.
He rested his head on his paws, already plotting his next escape. He'd gotten farther than any of them into the outside world and he sometimes bragged about it. Mom and dad always said 'later Tempest, not now.' He wanted to go outside soon...
He stood up and stretched with a wide puppyish yawnm before going over to his sister and tackling her for chewing on the other's ear. He was the only one that really stood up to her at all, but only to defend the other two. He enjoyed playing with her, even if he did tend to lose and get chewed on a lot. At least she quit paying attention the them. He bit at her ear, his teeth sharp, but his mouth not strong enough yet to do anything more than hurt.

Grifan just watched the four little pups play on with their games of wrestling with one another, though it was more of Tempest and Audra that played with one another. The other two haven't exactly shown too much of their personalities yet, besides probably being a bit shy and were always picked on by Audra, though it was Tempest that always stood up for the two. He was more like his father in most ways whenever it was being curios or protective.
He turned to look at Sahara who had just asked him to go hunt a rabbit for the pups, with a smile and a nod he stood up and began to walk towards the den's exit as he tried not to step on any of the pups that ran around his feet. When he got outside it was clear and bright which would help with his flying, he usually flew when he was hunting for smaller morsels. It wasn't too hard for him to take off really, just a small run and a good flap of his wings and that got him in the air.
It didn't take too long to find a rabbit, one was on a patch of grass that wasn't covered with snow and just dived down for it. With the strength of his paw on the small creature it had broken some it's neck which killed it instantly and took it back to his den. When he got back he tossed the dead creature into the center and waited for reactions from the pups of what they thought about it.

Audra listened to what her mom had said, then watched as her father left. She wanted to go with him, but from watching Tempest knew that would not be allowed. Looking to one of her siblings she pounced upon Alexis with a vicious growl taking out her frustrations upon her. Stella seemed to peer over at all this commotion. Sahara stood, about to stop the hectic event but a sound from the outside got her attention.
Grifan was back and he came into the den with a rabbit in tow, tossing it to the ground in front of the pups. She takes a sit on her haunches and watches their pups to see their reaction. Audra jumped back at first alarmed by the sound of the rabbit hitting the ground then cautiously approaches the carcass. Sahara watches and tries not to laugh because most of the pups seemed to react that same way. Her eyes then look to Tempest curious to see if he will act the same way, only because he was the most curious of the four.

Tempest looked up as his father dropped the prey, curious as to what it was. He trotted over to it and sniffed cautiously. When it didn't move he swiped it with his paw. When, even then the thing refused to budge, he nipped it as he would when enticing a sibling to play. He didn't yet recognise the smell of death that hung over the prey.
Tempest finally understood that the thing was not like his parents or siblings, and circled it to explore more. As the creature had been killed by spinal injury rather than by a bite, there was no blood. Tempest curiously and carefuly closed his jaws around one of the long ears and pulled. It moved a little and he jumped back, ready to play now that he had it's attention.
When it still refused to play, he approached it again and gave the ear a sharp tug, pulling it a little as he did so. Frusturated now that it wouldn't move, he gave it a sharp, angry yipe and a little growl.

Grifan tried not to laugh when he saw Tempest trying to actually play with the dead animal, though he did have a smirk on his lips while he watched the curiosity of the pups with the dead rabbit in the center with a look that they had no clue what to do with it. He then began to trot over to Sahara and sat down right beside her and gave her a soft lick and a nuzzle to her before he spoke,
"Well, at least they have an interest in it." He said in a hopeful tone of voice with his eyes looking over at the pups and the dead prey. "I wasn't too sure if you wanted them to see the blood until they mange to tear it open, though I can if you want." He told her in a soft whisper in her ear so the pups wouldn't exactly hear what he was saying, he didn't know if it would make them too squirmy to go near the prey after hearing what he told his mate.

Audra watched her older brother with much curiosity, there was no way he was going to be the only one playing with their new friend. Leaping out wings spread wide she took a bounding leap to the long eared 'wolf'. Landing upon it she felt out limp it was, that was odd. It made no attempt to recoil from her. She learned over her brother, there was a scent on this creature that was unfamiliar. This called for investigation, sniffing around it she was offended that it refused to acknowledge her. So like she did to her siblings she made for a swift angry bite into its flesh. Something happened, blood. Drawing back she licked her lips.
Sahara looked to Grifan and his smile when he licked her she smiles and licks back affectionately. As he whispers she takes note of Audra, "I don't think we need to worry about that" She points her nose to their rambunctious daughter who now was beginning to see the blood stain the fur. This only caused her to lick at the blood and become more curious about its other features.
