It had been weeks and Sahara had started to grow, she was not quite a large bulge, yet. Her instincts though were kicking in as she was gathering anything the cold weather would allow, twigs, leaves, tall dried grasses. She was making bedding and piling it all down to make for a warm and comfortable nesting area. This was something she preferred to do alone.
Her mood was also changing as well as her body, she was beginning to get snappy, something she usually did not do. She was usually submissive and quiet, however, with her changing hormones and pups just a month away, she needed to become a little more watchful and protective.
Laying on her nest, after various circling, Sahara rested. It was finished, much earlier than expected, all due to Grifan already having a den. Her eyes watched him wearily, something in her instincts said she needs to watch him, especially when the pups come. It was odd really, being that Grifan most likely would not harm them, but long long time ago it had been inbedded in females to watch the males, since history has it that some would eat and kill the pups, especially during harsh times.
It had not been harsh times for them, prey was fairly easy to come by, maybe because they were not in a pack. Most packs would have trouble, feeding five or more members probably would be.

As Sahara worked on the nest for their pups to come, Grifan was sitting in a corner as he had his eyes on his mate, though he kept his mouth slammed shut. He knew what she was going through and didn't want anything happening to him like the times when he was around his sister when she was expecting her own pups, it was just horrifying, and he wasn't going to make that same stupid mistake again.
He then noticed that Sahara was keeping a watchful eyes on him and just brought his head down to rest, he knew most of the tricks that a female would do at times though had no worry right now and just began to drift on into a deep sleep. That was about the time his sister had came into the picture. "Hey Grif, you there?" She hollered through the den entrance to her brother, but it was no use, he was in a deep sleep and couldn't hear her at all.
After a few minutes of waiting she had began to talk down the den's entrance to see if her brother was there, though what she saw wasn't exactly what she would expect. There was a nesting female right in front of her face despite the nest being a little far back with her brother at the side of the cave, sleeping. Delana just brought her ears down feeling that she was an intrusion right now because of her entry. "Sorry, you must be busy, I-I'll just leave you be." She said as she began to go through the entrance way slowly and backwards to try and not make the other female go nuts and attack her.

Seeing that Grifan fell asleep she had began to rest much easier, and just as she was about to sleep she heard a female calling from the den entrance. Her ears shot forward as her fur almost bristled, but was ready. At this point she could not tell if it was one of Grifan's females or not, she knew sometimes males would breed with others, but it was a rarity. Her eyes were steady on the intruder as she descended into the den.
Once her eyes were locked onto the other female she stood up briskly hackles raised as the symbol on her left shoulder began to glow a bright electric blue. Judging by the scent this wolf gave off told her that this female may be related to Grifan, she calmed slightly, not as eager to attack as she would if the scent said otherwise. Yet, her gaurd was still on, "Who are you?" she growled slightly as her tail was raised high in the air and her eyes locked with the female.
Grifan had never mentioned a sister to her, so still, she was unsure. She was not going to take any chances, she had pups on the way so she was not about to let her guard down for a second. She awaited the others responds as she lifted her lips in a warning. She was not going to attack, but all her signs were warnings not to be taken lightly. She was not a violent female, but the safety of the unborn pups were all that mattered to her.

Delana still tried to show no signs of harming this other wolf by keeping her tails between her legs and her ears clamped to her skull, though she wasn't that afraid of this wolf really, she could sense in a way that she wasn't going to attack unless she was the one to make a move against this other female. So she decided to bring things down and try to calm this female down.
"Look, I'm Grifan's sister, Delana, I just came here to see if my brother was alright." She told Sahara honestly as she looked over at Grifan and began to glare at him which had began to fill his mind with bad things with made him twitch in his sleep, then his eyes shot wide as he woke up and jumped up to his feet as his hair was all bristled up and his eyes wide open. That was when he saw Delana with her ears and tail down and just let out an annoyed sigh at her. "Delana, why are you here?" He asked in a annoyed matter with her sister giving a grin though she kept her distance away from either of them seeing that the other female may not like it if she went up to him. "I've been worried about you Grifan, I haven't seen you in a while now. Though at least I know now why." She said as she gave a quick glance at Sahara again to see if she was gaining any trust.

Her eyes studied Delana for a few moments, seeing her tail and ears go back in a submissive state. Her lips went back over her teeth as she raised her head to listen, her tail and ears still in a high position.
"Look, I'm Grifan's sister, Delana, I just came here to see if my brother was alright."
Her eyes still watched the female, by the scent she could tell she was telling the truth, but suddenly she noticed she had done something to Grifan. Her eyes darted from her mate to Delana, she still stood guard as the two siblings talked. She was slowly beginning to relax as they talked, she felt confident in Grifan, knowing he most likely would not allow anything to happen.
Her tail went down in a more relaxed position as she circled on the bedding she had made, then layed down. Even though her laying down was a relaxed manner and one of more vulnerability, she was not scared of such a relaxed, unguarded position. She knew her powers were strong and nothing bad could really come of her being in a relaxed state.
With a heavy sigh she layed her ears back as they talked on. She was quiet for the most part as, her stomach was a little upset and jarred. This was making her a little tired, yet, she did not want to fall asleep while there was a guest in the den.

Delana just kept her gaze on Sahara until she laid down and looked like she was going to have a rest, then her eyes went back on her brother as she had an annoyed look on her face. "Why didn't you tell me bout her Grianf!?" She said in and angry whisper as she made sure it wasn't very loud for anyone outside of the den and possibly even the other female to hear.
Grifan just rolled his eyes at her when he listened to what his sister had said to him and spoke out to her. "Oh come on Delana! I've been busy with her for a while now, I couldn't just walk up an tell you that." He said in whisper to his sister as he could obviously tell she was a bit upset about him keeping a secret from her.
With a sigh and his ears down he just began to walk in-between the two females and let out another sigh. "Delana, this is my mate, Sahara. Sahara, this is my sister, Delana. She's already a mother of four pups as it is." He told mostly to his mate to see if she would actually seek advice from his sister on what to expect from their pups in their parenthood, just as long as he doesn't get his head bitten off from any of these two females was all.

Sahara was slightly annoyed by the whispering, she found it disrespectful. A small low growl was emitted from her. Watching them she then saw Grifan step in between them then introduce them, "I know, I found out when she first came into the den, I was not about to let an intruder waltz on in without introduction." She said annoyance laced on her voice. Hearing him mention her being a mother, she did not really take it as resource.
She knew that when the time came, she would know what to do. It is instincts, and despite not really having a mother and father, they still raised her. She would use their techniques with their pups and maybe even make them stronger and more capable to handle life as loners. They would be warned that a pack is available, but it will cost you. She hoped her pups would know respect, and she would be a great mother to them. More so, than her own mother was.
Looking back to her mate, then to his sister she nods though in respect, "Nice to meet you, sorry it was not on better circumstances..." She says as she stands up and walks past both Grifan and Delana, walking out the den. Trotting on through the tall grasses and snow, which leaves her tracks, she heads to the spring. Her plan was to leave the two siblings alone, obviously she was not really part of their whispering. Then maybe she can hunt some field mice down.

Delana still kept her smile on until Sahara left the den, then in a flash Delana just glared at Grifan again with a look that would make anyone know that they were in trouble. Grifan just let a large swallow go down his throat as he knew she may do something nasty to him indeed, but then something he didn't really expect from her, she smiled at him.
"I'm glad you have found someone to care for Grifan, despite you not telling me about it." She said as she nuzzled her neck onto her brothers to show she ment no harm onto him. Grifan just let out a sigh of relief seeing as his sister wasn't going to do anything bad to her, though he knew that she was disappointed for not telling him that he had a mate with him now, at least she didn't ask how long they knew one another.
After a few minutes of silence, Delana had decided it was time for her to get going as she saw the tiredness in her brother's eyes and left the den as she headed off to the spring though she kept a very far distance from Sahara as she got a few mouth-fulls of water in her, though she kept her blood-red eyes on the other female. Grifan just let out loud yawn when his sister had left and just curled into a ball and drifted to once again his deep slumber.

She drank generously from the cool rushing water, her head lifted the moment she heard the sound of the other female. Turning she looked to Delana, she was unsure of her and didn't know how well they could get along. Because of this uncertainty she did not speak to her. Seeing that she kept watching her, she did the same thing almost with conviction. Tilting her head back down she took a few more laps of water, then stood up to leave.
Looking up at Delana, she wondered what was going through the wolf's mind and with a star she made a slight annoyed gesture. She did not find it well mannered to stare, and so far, this femme, whether it be her mate's sister or not, was rather rude. After her gesture, she turned and walked on back to the den. Her trot was slightly brisk, yet, she was in no hurry to get there.

Delana just watched as Sahara had left from the spring with a look that she was a bit annoyed, possibly because of her long-term staring. She knew that it probably wasn't nice to do that but she wanted to get her attention and get her over to her so they could talk. With a roll of her eyes her body had began to go see-through and she was drifting off the ground as she was in her ghostly form now.
With her power she just began to levitate closer to Sahara, though she wouldn't exactly know because she had made her body invisible and just got in front of the female as her body became slightly visible to show that she was there. "What's wrong? don't want to stay and chat with me?" She asked as she levitated in circles around Sahara as she awaited an answer from the other.female.

Sahara, couldn't have cared less at this point. Walking on all she wanted to do is get back to her mate. Suddenly an apparation came to her, it was his sister. Her ears went back and she stopped walking, she was annoyed again. Lately, her patience with others other than her mate has run thin. She used to welcome others, but not now. "I spent all day making a nest, now I just want to be left in peace." Her eyes looked up at her. It looked as if lightening was flashing within them and a storm was swirling about all within her eyes.
She side stepped and kept on walking to the den. She was not in the mood today, and soon she was closer to the den. Looking around before she was any closer, her eyes scanned the valley terrain.

Delana just rolled her eyes at Sahara and just began to slowly disappear into nothing until there was nothing left to see of her. She knew it was her fault, but she just wanted to make sure that her brother had made the best choice for himself was all. Though she could tell that she was only going to be able to find out was when Sahara was in a better mood with her hormones out of the way, so she just re-appeared about 50 feet away away from the other female and went to care for her own pups.
About that time Grifan had woke up and looked outside of his den to get a good breath of fresh air and saw the two wolves walking away from one another and let out a sigh, he knew that Delana had probably bugged his mate about some stuff, he always hated when stuff like that happened. He just went back into his den and just laid down a little farther away from Sahara's nest, though he kept his eyes on the den's entrance as he awaited for his mate's arrival.

She felt bad about blowing off her mate's sibling, but she was just in the mood. Walking on she went to the den, as she neared she noticed Grifan come out then go back in, her tail wagged in joy to see him actually awake. Trotting at a higher pace she came into the den eagerly heading right to him, greeting him with a large smile and a heavily wagging tail. She licked at his face in a playful manner,"Good afternoon, my mate!" Backing off some she began to become curious as to playing with her mate.
Smiling more she bowed down her tail high in the air with a playful wag. Watching him she yips a little to entice the play, then leaped back and forth. After her playful display she trotted over to him and rubbed on his body like a cat as she licked at his muzzle. She was so excited and happy to see him she was ready to wrestle around with him.

Grifan was glad to see his mate have a large smile upon her face as well began acting playfully and seeing she wanted to play with him as she jumping from side to side with her tail high up and wagging at a fast speed. Grifan chuckled as he lifted his body up and stood on all fours with his tail wagging wildly as well to show that he had wanted to play as well, though he knew very well to be very careful with her now.
With his mate expecting his unborn pups for a while now, he had learned to treat Sahara very delicately so that he wasn't able to hurt her of the pups inside of her, though he would just play a little bit with her. Grifan just made small and very light jumps to the side to show a playful matter of his movements as he would go up and lick as well nuzzle Sahara playfully and just waited for his mate's actions on him so that it wasn't him that hurt her in ways that he would not think.

She was excited to have him participate in her play, bounding in and out she lightly mouthed him. Mouthing in various parts of his body like his neck, legs, and tail. Soon she began to lick and playfully nip in a loving manner. The play that had gone on for a few minutes soon began to wore her out. Panting some she went back to her nest and let out a heavy yawn.
Falling asleep, she ended the day on a happy not, as she had the morning with a happy busy work. Her sleep was happy and content, as she stayed curled in her tight little ball, upon her labored nest. Soon within time, she would be a heavy buldging wolf, ready to give birth to several little pups.
